The Imperial Court of New York is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that has donated over a million dollars since its inception in 1986. The Court has gained recognition in the tri-state New York City region for the tireless work it has done on behalf of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. Besides the big hair, bigger jewels and the over-the-top regal attire, it is their attitude. The glitz and glamour is how this community has fun. The organization has open their hearts and gives their time and energy to raising money for their beneficiaries.
Their members are people who have chosen to make a commitment, get involved and make a difference in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. Their membership is broad and varied: lawyers, carpenters, therapists, ministers, stockbrokers, hairdressers, marketers, performers, accountants, teachers, florists, antique dealers, jewelers and more! The mission of the Imperial Court of New York is to raise funds for organizations, including but not limited to those supporting the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender community; HIV/AIDS services organizations; social service organizations and youth enrichment programs. It seeks to provide a safe, social environment for people with the same interests as those of the membership and to create and promote positive community awareness of the ideals of the International Court System. Their members are dedicated to the causes and charities that are chosen by our organization. Our two-fold mission encompasses both social and philanthropic arenas. Moreover, as serious as we are about our mission and our role in the community, we cannot deny that many of us also participate for the frivolity and creative outlet that the Court encourages. The Imperial Court of New York was founded in 1986 under the reign of Their Imperial Majesties Emperor I George The First and Empress I Sybil The First. This year the new Monarchs on the scene are Their Most Imperial Sovereign Majesties Emperor XXII Wen-Dee Bouvier Pinkhouse The Rock ‘n’ Roll Emperor of Peace, Love, Unity and Respect & Empress XXVII Gracie Steeles,The Stiletto Heeled Jersey Girl Empress. Hello Darlings, Welcome back to Cognac's Corner Magazine Volkswagon Representative Peter Vincent poses for a photo-op with TV Host Cognac Wellerlane 2013 marks the 113th anniversary of the New York Int'l Auto Show, North America's first and largest attended auto show. Featuring 1,000 vehicles plus the latest in tech, safety and innovation in nearly 900,000 sq ft. It is one of the hottest tickets in town. The event took place at Manhattan's Jacob Javits Center from March 29 - April 7, 2013. This yearly always has some of the hottest cars and trucks ever seen all under one roof. That means more sneak peeks, more brand new '13 & '14 production models and more concept vehicles than ever before.
In 1900, the New York International Automobile Show became North America's first automotive exhibition. For over one hundred years, through depression, war, boom-time, oil crisis, recession and growth, it has continued its pioneering tradition of bringing new and innovative ideas to a national and world stage. In the last decade, the Show has boosted the number of new vehicle announcements, broken attendance figures, and increased media attention to extraordinary levels. At the event I had the pleasure of interviewing Volkswagon Representative Peter Vincent who demonstrated the many features of the 2013 Volkswagon Convertible. Pink Champagne Kisses Cognac Wellerlane
