JUBILEE is Beekman and Sutton Place’s favorite kitchen. The restaurant brings elegance to casual dining in a quaint and vibrant atmosphere. Have a cocktail at the vintage English Bar or in the Lounge.

JUBILEE was founded by Eric Macaire and is co.owned with Chef Luc Holie and his spouse Ilda. It is famous for serving a variety of fresh steamed Mussels in delicious sauce. Specialties include Duo of Tuna and Salmon Tartare, Dover Sole Meuniere, Striped Bass, Sea Scallops, Steak Frites and Rack of Lamb. French Culinary essentials are Steak Tartare, Escargots and Profiteroles.

I sat down and chatted with Executive Chef and Co-owner Luc Holie about the signature dishes that the restaurant is famous for.

Mussels Trio  - Your choice of any 3 Flavors: Marinière, Curry, Poulette, Catalane, Dijonnaise, Citronnée, Tomato Basil, Asian, Calvados and their deliciously prepared rack of Lamb.


Jubilee is a gorgeously decorated midtown east French eatery that was established by Eric Macaire, and is co-owned with Chef Luc Holie and his spouse Ilda. When you step into this quaint French bistro you feel like you've entered someone's home, and are dining in their French Country kitchen. Not only is the decor and ambiance inviting, but the staff is very friendly.

The most famous dish is the mouth watering fresh steamed mussels in a variety of special sauces which we all sampled at the restaurant.There's even a special, separate menu that's dedicated to just mussels! If you're like me and you can't decide between the nine sauces, you can get a trio of mini pots to try. I suggest going with a group of people, that way you can get three trios to share.

Deserts are fabulous too!  We dined on French pecan pie and Tarte aux Pommes Chaudes Warm Apple Tart with Vanilla Ice Cream

I highly recommend Jubilee NYC for French Fine Dining.
