Supporters and Poker Player Enthusiast joined together to enjoy a wonderful evening at Hamptons Summer Charity Event To Benefit The Jed Foundation Hosted by Beth Shak-Leventhal.

Beth Shak is an American professional poker player, who has been playing professionally since 2004. She is also an entrepreneur and philanthropist as well as a shoe and handbag expert. Shak ran a private vintage designer clothing business for 10 years. Her most recent project is a custom designed poker chip set currently on pre-order at her website.

She recently attended a charity event to support the Jed Foundation and was inspired to help the organization.  During the event I sat down with Executive Director John A. MacPhee.

Over the last fifteen years, The Jed Foundation has emerged as the leader in protecting the emotional health of America's 21 million college students.  Their proven model and award-winning programs are changing the way campuses, communities and families promote mental health and prevent suicide.

As the nation’s leading organization working to promote emotional health and prevent suicide among college students, The Jed Foundation is protecting the mental health of students across the country.  With your support, They will continue to lead the way and protect the potential of tomorrow's leaders.

The event was sponsored by Metropolitanjets.com who is owned and operated by CEO Alan R. Cook.

the very best private jet management and charter experience. Based at Manassas Regional Airport in Metro DC, They manage an exceptional fleet of jets that are privately owned and available for charter worldwide. Their operations team exceeds industry standards in maintenance and safety, while their METROPOLITAN JETS sales team delivers the highest level of service to their aircraft owners, charter clients, and the industry’s best brokers.

Also I got the chance to chat with  Sponsor Josh Tanner from NewYorkPrimeBeef.com about his selection of prime beef that was featured at the event.

New York Prime Beef is home to a newly constructed, state of the art dry aging facility. Under carefully monitored temperature and humidity our steaks are dry aged for 28 days before being hand selected at the peak of flavor and tenderness. It may take time and painstaking attention, but we believe that the results of the aging process merit the extra effort and expense.  For more info please visit http://www.newyorkprimebeef.com/
