Patricia Parenti at the Project Show

PROJECT a trade show for the contemporary men's market was held on July 19-21, 2015 at Jacob Javits Center in NYC.  This show featured new and upcoming brands along with established labels. This was a Spring/Summer 2016 show but the clothing in my photos can be worn now. I picked out vendors that had a fresh point of view and had styles that I haven't seen in the market before. The designers I interviewed were brand new on the market and have websites which the consumer can order direct on. Anyone looking for holiday gifts that are classic with a twist should order the shirts, pullovers and velvet slippers in the photos shown below WWW.PROJECTSHOWNY.COM ;

ADAMIST

A line of 100% premium cotton black and white dress shirts for men. The details are sewn in and not printed on which makes for a high quality product. The collection is made by skilled craftspeople in house that are paid 3 X the national average with health and housing benefits in Jakarta, Indonesia. Jacky Rusi is the founder and creative director and uses the same silhouette but changes the details on every shirt. These shirts are classic with a twist such as a collar inspired by a bow tie. Great ways to wear them are with a tuxedo or black/white pants.  The top photo is shirt with a skull pattern made with crystals that are put in by hand and would look great over jeans for a night on the town. Some other treatments that this company uses are Spanish lace, embroidery, studs in silver and black.
