Guest boogied down to the music performed by 70's Disco group KC & the Sunshine Band at the Live @Club Starlight charity gala.  This is Ross School's largest fundraising benefit. This year's event featured  cocktails, silent auction, dinner and dancing.
The annual Live @Club Starlight benefit raises money for the Steven J. Ross Scholarship Fund, a program that granted financial assistance to 35 percent of Ross School students during the 2013-14 academic year. The evening will include a cocktail reception, live auction, silent auction, dinner and musical performances by KC and the Sunshine Band.
The event honored Special Guest Russell Simmons, co-founder of Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation for his dedication and support to educating young people in the arts. The event  also honored Ross School’s teachers for their continued commitment to provide a challenging and interdisciplinary education to Ross School students.
Ross School was founded in 1991 by Courtney and Steven J. Ross and incorporates innovative models to prepare students to meet the challenges of the 21st century.  Mrs. Ross and her vision for Ross School attract many of the best scholars from around the world to embrace the challenge of designing a global, integrated curriculum that addresses the changing realities of the future. Over the last 22 years, Ross School has become a leading laboratory for educational excellence.
 The evening began with a cocktail hour, as well as a silent auction, followed by dinner. Dinner was prepared by the Ross School Café team, led by Chef de Cuisine Liz Dobbs. The dinner menu included:
·         Grilled Local Asparagus, Shaved Florence Fennel, Blood Orange Supremes;
·         Greek-style Baby Lamb Chop, Potato Skordalia, Salsa Verde;
·         Moroccan Chicken Bisteeya, Cucumber Leban;
·         Miso-Glazed Wild Salmon, Savoy Cabbage, and Shiitake Mushrooms;
·         Malaysian Coconut Green Curry Bean Curd with Vegetables
                     Dinner was followed by a live auction led by Christie’s Auctioneer, Jennifer Wright. Auction items include a seven-night stay at the Luxurious Villa Janus at Round Hill Resorts in Jamaica; a week at Villa in Chianti, Italy; VIP tickets to Rush Philanthropic Foundation’s 15th Annual Art for Life Benefit in the Hamptons on July 26, 2014; a spot at the 2014-15 New York Knicks Pre Game Ball Kid Experience; two tickets to Watch What Happens Live! With Andy Cohen; and cocktails and a garden tour with Ina Garten.
                     Bidding for many auction items continues online at and until June 18.
 The event honored Ross School teachers, for their continued commitment to provide Ross School students with a world-class education, and Russell Simmons, co-founder of Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, for his dedication to educating young people in the arts.
 Ross School alumni Alexandra Fairweather (’08) and Maximilin Eicke (’07) served as Masters of Ceremonies for the event, welcoming guests and discussing the importance of the Steven J. Ross Scholarship Fund. Ross School Founder Courtney Ross spoke about the faculty honorees for the evening, the Ross School Spiral Curriculum, and the School’s legacy of providing financial aid to hundreds of students through the Steven J. Ross Scholarship Fund. Jennifer Cross, dean of Visual Arts, spoke on behalf of the Ross School faculty about the Ross School experience and community; and Russell Simmons addressed the audience about the positive impact of an education in the arts.
