Ms. Heinemann has been an established expressionist artist for two decades. Her beautiful works of art have been featured in the windows of Tiffany’s as well as all over the globe. "Robert Rufino, who was Vice President of creative services at Tiffanys discovered my paintings at the National Arts Club and chose to put them in the 5th Avenue windows. It was an honor to have them featured alongside Tiffany’s magnificent jewelry,” revealed Michelle Marie in the latest issue of Resident Magazine.  She recently showcased twenty two pieces of her art in St. Barth’s, a favorite vacation spot for her and her family. Her next opening will be at the legendary Gstaad Palace in Switzerland where she plans to bring her whole family to enjoy this much anticipated event.

In between creating beautiful pieces of art, Michelle is also devoted to supporting many charitable organizations such as Equine Resolution.  The organization's mission is to rehabilitate horses that have been put out to pasture. She also supports Prize4life, a charity that seeks a cure for Lou Gehrig’s disease. She also contributes towards the American Red Cross and the Southampton Hospital and recently attended the 55th Annual Southampton Hospital Summer Party hosted and chaired by Jean Shafiroff where Michelle and I  both met.

Her most important charity is  Blankets for Warmth, which she founded in 2001.
Blankets for Warmth  collects and distributes blankets to the homeless.  It stops by various parts of New York City to drop off gently used and sometimes new blankets for homeless people.

Blankets for Warmth's founder, Michelle-Marie Heinemann, decided to create the organization after leaving a restaurant in New York City one day and seeing a young girl freezing outside.  She stopped and spoke with the girl for a while before giving her her coat.  Michelle was so affected by the experience that she decided to start an organization donating blankets to the homeless.

In 2002, Blankets For Warmth partnered with the Coalition For The Homeless.  The Coalition has a food van that goes out every night to distribute food, sometimes feeding as many as 800 people a night.  By joining forces, the two organizations were able to provide food along with warm blankets to people in need.

In 2005, Blankets For Warmth donated 100 brand new heavy duty wool military blankets to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The blankets where donated to radio station K104 which sponsored a drive to help the victims.

Michelle-Marie will be hosting her first gala for Blankets for Warmth at the Carlyle Hotel on November 1, 2013 and would love all of New York to attend, contribute and support the event.

She will also be attending the Hampton Classic the most anticipated event of the Hampton Season. The whole family are equestrians and enjoy the sport tremendously.
Her children will be competing in the Hampton Classic Horse Show, “Hudson’s going to do Short Stirrup and Hyacinth will be doing Leadline," revealed Michelle-Marie during our interview.  She plans to ride as well and will be celebrating the week long event with friends and family.

Her latest project is opening up a children's boutique named " Hudson & Hyacinth" after her children. "The clothes are well made from Paris and London but are reasonably priced for infant to teens," revealed Michelle-Marie.  Three stores will be opening in Paris, St. Barth’s and on Madison Avenue in New York City in the Autumn.

Michelle-Marie Heinemann has a lot on her plate but embraces her challenges.  Her number priority is her family.  She is devoted to her husband Jon Heinemann and her children Hyacinth Cornelia Heinemann and Hudson Cornelius Heinemann.
