Cognac Wellerlane poses for a photo-op on Lido Beach, NY on the Fourth of July
In keeping with the 4th of July Holiday is a fabulous new song.
The answer is a brand new, upbeat patriotic song, “Uncle Sam There’s No One Like You,” featuring the Jordanaires, a legendary group that were the backup singers for Elvis Presley for a number of years. They also backed up singers Ricky Nelson, Patsy Cline, Ringo Starr, Carrie Underwood and countless others. As a group, they are members of the Country Music Hall of Fame and their sound is recognizable and unique. This original song was written by the team of Bill and Ted Golis, and produced by Henry Golis. Some of Nashville’s best are playing on the recording and include Charlie McCoy on harmonica, Jimmy Capps on guitar, David Smith on bass and Gene Chrisman on drums. The song has a memorable catchy tune and it’s introduced by Louise Harrison, sister of famed Beatle George Harrison. It’s also one of the last, if not the last song performed by the Jordanaires, which sung as a group beginning in the 1940’s.The Jordanaires are the biggest selling singing group in the history of music with more than four billion records that have sold worldwide. The song is light-hearted yet deep in sentiment for proud Americans.Destined to be a patriotic standard in years to come!
