This past Friday Milestone performed at the Blue Point Restaurant in Long Beach, New York.  Patrons enjoyed Milestone's funky jam session along with Acoustic Artist Scott Martin.
Possessing a keen sense of melody and musicality on his instrument, Scott Martin is a guitarist and songwriter known primarily for his work with the modern-rock group Bulletproof Messenger.

Self-taught and infused with a burning passion for his six-string, he refined his technique and ability while studying the guitar in college. Finally he sinked his teeth into the Long Island music scene in the mid 2000's and has entertained at various venues. After several early projects, Scott started singing and writing alongside former members of Sarcasm and Black Suit Youth. The group found their niche in a wildly dynamic, upbeat sound best showcased by the single “Not Waving, Drowning."

Scott recently establish a new project, Storm of the Century, placing himself back into the role of singer-songwriter. After gathering together several old friends, then writing and recording album tracks with them throughout a lengthy demo process.  Scott and Storm of the Century look forward to a full release in 2013.

When he is not performing with Bulletproof Messenger or Storm of the Century, Scott can be found playing the Long Island and New York City circuit as a member of the bands Empire Radio and Permission to Launch. In addition, he has filled in on one-off club dates and studio sessions with various acts ranging from rock to hip-hop to reggae and back again, something which he enjoys immensely due to his continuous and insatiable appetite for all things music. This very attitude has also kept him occupied as a first-class music instructor for the better part of the last decade.

He present a segment each Tuesday called "Benoir's Long Beach Music Scene" between 8-9pm during the Halftime Howie show. His song "Dub Luv" can be heard as well as commercial spots. He helps Howie record and  showcase artists live on air.   Ben also instructs students at his school,STUDIO NOIR, in the West End of Long Beach.

Blue Point Restaurant believes that you can still make great food using traditional recipes and fresh ingredients. Owner Scott Shevlin recently purchased the restaurant and is adamant about preparing the freshest fish and recommends the fish tacos. Blue Point Restaurant does not buy into the theory that you must sacrifice quality in the name of speed or price.

Each day the chef buys the fish from the local market and prepares it for the evening dinner.  The restaurant is located at 1148 West Beech St, Long Beach, New York 11561
