During the Juicy Couture Presentation at Lincoln Center I had the pleasure of interviewing lovely Jewelry Designer Sonya Holley who has worked at notable design houses including Ralph Lauren, Karl Lagerfeld and Tommy Hilfiger. After creating her glamorous fashion blog Trendcocktail.com, Sonya covers New York and Berlin Fashion Weeks and many other international fashion events in London and Istanbul. On her own person style, Sonya Holley is featured on numerous occasions in the New York Times Styles Section by Bill Cunningham and New York Magazine. After creating her Spring 2013 jewelry collection, Sonya Holley is making her New York fashion week debut in September 2012.

Elegant Dore Exquisite Gowns debuted this season their latest collection at New York Fashion Week on September 12, 2012 at the Chic nightclub Arena in Manhattan. Dore Exquisite Gowns is owned, designed and operated by Ballroom Gown Designer Dawn Smart.
The Fashion event began with a sexy dance duo performed by Ballroom Dancers Pasha Pashkov and Daniella Karagach wearing of course Dore Designs. Imediately following was the Dore Spring 2013 Collection of glamorous evening gowns and elegant cocktail dresses. Gowns featured hand painting, Swarovski crystal detailing.
Many of the gowns also featured thigh high slits, long elegant trains and petticoats. Signature pieces included a Red and Black Mermaid gown that dazzled audiences and fashionistas that attended the fashion event.
Dore Designs, Inc.is situated in tropical Southwest Florida. The company was established by Dorothy Salcedo in the late 1970′s to dress her son for his career as a ballroom dancer. Dorothy started creating his costumes in a small guest bedroom in her quaint Cape Coral home. As local dancers realized that Carlos Salcedo was the best dressed dancer in the area, Dorothy became recognized as the fashion source for Ballroom attire. The company quickly flourished as the number one source for Ballroom attire.
The company’s mission has remained the same, cutting edge fashion, the finest of fabrics and unsurpassed quality of construction to produce the best Ballroom, Skating, Pageant and Evening Gowns available in the United States and beyond. Their staff has grown to over 25 in-house and our space is now a spacious 6000+ sq ft. The company is still located in Cape Coral
In 2007, the company was purchased by Dawn Smart. Dawn had been a sales representative with Dore since 1999 and had been active in the Ballroom Dance business and the gown business for over 10 years prior to joining Dore. Her solid background in sewing construction, sales and the dance industry brought a new perspective to the company.
Dore is now the industry leader in the United States for Ballroom fashion and as a company, they are very excited to be a part of “So You Think You Can Dance”, a dance reality tv show, “Musical Chairs”, a movie being released in 2012, and the Swarovski-USA Dance project kicked off at the 2011 USA Dance Nationals
A-listers that attended included Realty Stars from Bravo Network "Gallery Girls" Amy Poliakoff, Maggie Schaffer, Miss New York Mallory Hagan from the Miss America Pageant and Miss Gotham City Acacia Courtney.
Sponsors and Contributors included: Swarovski Elements, Ecru New York, All Natural Snapple, EngieStyle, Yellow Sky Agency, Lead Makeup Artist Nesreen Hamdan and Boutique Artists.
